Filippa K offers since several years garment care products for sale in their stores and webshop. From September, their garment care program will also include OrganoClick’s fluorocarbon-free and biodegradable textile impregnation. The product will be sold under Filippa K’s brand but will be co-branded with the OrganoTex® brand. The product will be part of Filippa K’s standard garment care serie and will be sold in all Filippa K’s stores.
OrganoTex® textile impregnation has been developed during several years and had been designed for adding water repellency to textile fabrics as well as being biodegradable. The technology is based on OrganoClick’s patented and awarded technology for modification of textile fibers and is completely free from perfluorinated compounds (e.g. PFAS), cyklic siloxanes, and isocyanates that are often used in current textile impregnations. Many of these compounds are suspected to be carcinogenic, hormone disruptive and are bioaccumulative.
”We are very happy for the collaboration with Filippa K. Within the fashion business, they are in the forefront in regards of sustainability and are taking very serious on the chemical problem within the textile industry. With Filippa K as a new partner, we reach a group of eco-conscious consumers with an interest of fashion. Through Filippa K’s garment care program, the consumers can now take care of their garments and pro-long their life span even more”, says Mårten Hellberg, CEO OrganoClick AB.
”We want to offer garments with a long life-span and where only sustainable chemicals have been used. With our garment care program, our customers can pro-long the life-span of the garments even more. For this reason, OrganoClick’s biodegradable textile impregnation is a perfect match”, says Elin Larsson, Sustainability Director Filippa K.
